Financial Clarity Through Practical Methods

We started ListOnSoftOn because budgeting shouldn't feel like punishment.

Back in 2019, we noticed something odd. People had access to countless budgeting apps and spreadsheets, yet most still struggled with money management. The tools existed, but the understanding didn't. So we built something different.

How We Actually Got Here

ListOnSoftOn grew from a simple observation. My co-founder and I were working with families in Santa Fe who earned decent incomes but couldn't figure out where their money went each month. Traditional financial advice wasn't connecting.

We realized the problem wasn't discipline or knowledge. It was methodology. People needed concrete systems they could adapt to their actual lives, not theoretical frameworks that looked good on paper.

So we spent three years testing different allocation methods with real households across Argentina. Some approaches worked brilliantly for freelancers but failed for salaried workers. Others were perfect for families but too complex for individuals.

Three Allocation Systems That Actually Work

We teach methods based on what succeeded in our testing phase. Not every system fits every situation, which is why we focus on helping you find the right match.

Zero-based budgeting demonstration with category allocation examples

Zero-Based Allocation

Every peso gets assigned before the month starts. This method works especially well for people who like detailed planning and have relatively stable income. Takes about 2-3 months to feel natural.

Proportional Systems

The 50-30-20 approach and its variants. Simpler to maintain but requires honest assessment of needs versus wants. We help you adjust the percentages to match your actual circumstances and goals.

Envelope Method Workshop

Physical Envelope Method

Cash-based system using actual envelopes or digital equivalents. Surprisingly effective for people who struggle with abstract numbers. The tangible element makes spending decisions more conscious and deliberate.

Who's Teaching These Methods

We're not financial celebrities or investment gurus. Just two people who spent years figuring out what actually helps families manage money better. Our backgrounds are in behavioral economics and practical education, which shapes how we approach budget training.
